What is Paranoia?
Paranoia is a psychological condition where individuals experience irrational and persistent feelings of suspicion or mistrust of others. This condition can manifest as beliefs that people are plotting against them, surveilling them, or otherwise trying to harm them. Paranoia is commonly associated with mental health disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and sometimes substance use, especially stimulants.
Treatment often includes therapy, medication, and support to help manage symptoms and improve the individual’s sense of safety.
